I have had such a great time with this particular series of articles. It was inspired by conversations with Stephen Kyle from University College London. He is one of the many organizers of the 3D metrology conference in London that I will attend on November 5-7 in London. I myself am a huge fan of technology and physics as it was my undergrad degree, so being able to learn through immersion and researching has been extremely invigorating. It honestly has gotten me intrigued to do more work with this field itself. Lasers, 3D images, and coding seem like a great playbox for me to have fun with. I learned so much by taking a lot of time and really trying to understand the inside and out of this particular industry, and there is so much more to learn I am sure.

3D Scanner Market

It was such an expansive series that it truly opened my eyes to how far one can go down a rabbit hole. I also had some major takeaways from this series. Firstly, there is a high amount of technical know-how to delve within this field. Something that I look to do is be a person who can explain highly advanced topics in a simple fashion. Ideally, this series did that and if it did not, please do not hesitate to reach out and tell me. Another large takeaway from this series was that one must be somewhat artistic as well as technical to be within this field. Photography, images, and visual effects are fun and visually stimulating in artistic ways. It is natural that a field that goes in tandem with 3D printing well is at the center of artistic expression as well as technical innovation. It is why I personally am fascinated by the 3D world because I am someone who enjoys science, technology, and art. One last major takeaway is that one can change their perspective of what is interesting to them by just deep diving. For all the article series I have done so far, there is a common thread of minor curiosity. But this initial curiosity is what gets the ball rolling on learning. I had only a faint concept of the field, but now I understand it enough for further exploration. I also hope this series has pushed others to think in similar ways as well.

3D Photogrammetry

This metrology series has been a lot of fun and it has inspired a new realm of intellectual curiosity for me. I have decided to pick up a camera and learn some of the basics behind photography, and I will be doing a fun series shortly about coding and 3D printing/design. I am excited to teach myself new skills as well as grow in my curiosity and see how far I go.  For any organization who would like a review in terms of metrology and the services your company provides, do not hesitate to ask.
